“We are excited to get our camping season underway,” said John Harlan, who bought the campground in 2011.
“All of our buildings have a really nice warm feeling. Every building has been repainted, including our Cartoon Café, and we have installed new landscaping, reconditioned roads and re-stoned 80 percent of the campsite pads throughout the park. We even remodeled our 18-hole miniature golf course with new carpeting, painting and landscaping.”
Last year, Harlan added another 55 campsites to what was then a 240-site park. The new campsites have since filled up with seasonal campers, who leave their RVs on site so that they can enjoy them throughout the camping season.
Harlan has also installed a 60-foot inflatable water slide and two foam machines and he plans to offer live entertainment mid-week and on weekends to complement the park’s existing activities. Other noteworthy improvements include upgrades to the park’s WiFi system, new Karaoke software, and free s’mores on Friday nights. The park’s Cartoon Café also has an expanded menu that now includes specialty drinks, shakes and online food ordering with free campsite delivery.
