Daytime activities include a flag raising ceremony and pledge of allegiance with Yogi Bear, a scavenger hunt and mystery games, including a game of Blindfold Touch and Guess.
“If you aren’t familiar with Blindfold Touch and Guess, come to our park and find out!” said Kay Vail, co-general manager of the 142-site campground, whose RV and tent sites are complemented by five rental cabins and eight lodges.
Nighttime activities include Candy Bar Bingo as well as hayrides and a bonfire with s’mores.
On Sunday morning of Labor Day weekend, the park will prepare an all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast.
Black Canyon Jellysone Park is located at 22045 South Highway 550 in Montrose and is open year-round.
Park amenities include a bark park; swimming pool; disc golf baskets; pedal karts, a GaGa ball pit; a volleyball net; basketball and shuffleboard courts; and horseshoe pits. Indoor games include Foosball, ping pong and billiards. WiFi service, propane, firewood and a general store are also available on site for guest convenience.
