The excitement is building across the Carolinas as the Jellystone Park in Tabor City prepares to open a 10,000 square foot interactive water play structure. “We’re working to get it installed as soon as possible,” said park manager Rebecca Murphy, adding that Jellystone Park reservations are running ahead of last year’s figures. The 20-foot-tall AquaPlay structure features water cannons, water slides and buckets that fill up and dump water on children playing below.

Jellystone Parks Celebrate Mothers Day Weekend With Special Activities For Mom
Moms will be treated like queens at Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts on Mother’s Day weekend. “Most of our franchisees have special Mother’s Day activities planned, including mother-child lookalike contests, Mother’s Day crafts and complimentary breakfasts,” said Michele Wisher, vice president of marketing for Leisure Systems, Inc. Moms who camp over Mother’s Day weekend also receive a notepad with a cover that says “Jellystone Park Mom’s To Do List,” which is to relax, have fun and enjoy the outdoors.

Increasing occupancies are prompting the Jellystone Park at Lake Monroe to add 18 more RV sites and invest in numerous other improvements in preparation for camping season, which kicks off tomorrow, Friday. “Interest has really spiked over the past couple of years so we know the demand is there for more campsites,” said Rachael Stine, the park’s general manager, adding that eight of the new campsites will be available by Memorial Day with the remainder available by Father’s Day.

Improvements are continuing at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park at Keystone Lake, which will debut two 100-foot long water slides and two swimming pools when the park opens Memorial Day weekend. “The swimming pools and water slides will complement the Wibit, our massive floating aqua park playground developed in Germany that includes climbing structures, obstacle courses, slides and floating trampolines,” said Beth Ryan, who is managing the park with her husband, Bob; sons, Ben and Steven; and Steven’s wife, Courtiney.

The North Texas Jellystone Park is adding 100 luxury RV sites, 20 two-bedroom cabins and two 60-foot tall, 350-foot long inflatable waterslides, all of which should be in place before Father’s Day. “We’re continuing to grow,” said Steve Stafford, general manager of the North Texas Jellystone Park, which will have a total of 262 RV sites and 117 cabins when the improvements are completed.

Year-to-date revenues were up 25 percent at Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resorts across the U.S. and Canada during the first quarter, compared to the same period last year, according to the company that franchises the family friendly camping resorts. “The growth is fueled by the addition of six locations to the franchise in 2016, plus the expansion of several existing locations for this season. In fact, same park sales were up 19 percent during the first quarter,” said Jim Westover, vice president of operations for Leisure Systems, Inc.

Four Jellystone Parks In The Northeast Will Offer Tiny House RV Rental Units This Summer And Fall
Custom designed tiny house RVs will be available for rent this summer and fall at Jellystone Parks in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. “We’re trying something new,” said Zachary Bossenbroek, CEO of Northgate Resorts, a privately held Grand Rapids company that owns eight Jellystone Parks, mostly in the eastern half of the country, adding, “We think consumers are going to love these units.” The tiny house RVs, which sleep four to five and include kitchens and bathrooms, are styled by Kansas City designer Kristen Rieke in the themes of the bears with a Yogi Bear™ Suite, a Boo Boo™ Bear Suite and a Cindy Bear™ Suite.

Families that visit the Jellystone Park in Kerrville this spring and summer will see lots of improvements, including new and remodeled cabins, a Cartoon Cafe and a new water zone that’s expected to open before Memorial Day weekend. “This is going to be an amazing resort,” said Zachary Bossenbroek, CEO Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Northgate Resorts, which acquired the Kerrville resort in late 2015 and converted it into a Jellystone Park last year.

New Cabins, RV Sites and Activities are Available Now at the Jellystone Park™ In Lodi
