Canada Will Soon Be Celebrating Its 150th Birthday

Family Campground Franchise

This summer, Canada will be celebrating a very special birthday. On July 1st, 1867, the 1867 Constitution Act officially joined the then separate British colonies of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick into a single nation, the Canadian Confederation. Now, exactly 150 years later, Canada will be celebrating its milestone 150th birthday. In the past, this special day has been called the British North America Act, Dominion Day, and simply Canada’s Birthday.

Camp Jellystone and our Canadian Parks are running a special promotion to celebrate this historic moment for our neighbors to the north. For each advanced reservation made between June 1st and June 30th this year at any Jellystone Parks in Canada, the guest will have the chance to win a special camping prize.

The camper’s name will be placed into the drawing (as long as they book their advanced reservation in time), and the winner will receive a free camping trip for any campground or cabin site in Canada’s Jellystone Parks. The grand-prize winner will be announced on Canada Day 2017, but there are several other prizes to win as well. Here are the prizes being offered:

    1. 1st Prize — 7 nights free and $150 YOGI bucks at campsites and cabins or 4 nights at a rustic or basic site and $150 YOGI bucks.

    1. 2nd Prize — 5 nights free and $150 YOGI bucks at campsites and cabins or 3 nights at a rustic or basic site and $150 YOGI bucks.

    1. 3rd Prize — 3 nights free and $150 YOGI bucks at campsites and cabins or 2 nights at a rustic or basic site and $150 YOGI bucks.

Each free night of camping must be used in consecutive nights and must be used by September 1, 2018.

Families, RV owners, and campers of all ages might want to jump in on this 150th celebration of Canada’s birthday. Very rarely do individuals camp for just a few days or a week by themselves, and both Canada Day and the Fourth of July are perfect opportunities to plan a family camping trip. About 63% of campers over the age of 16 are either married or currently living with a partner, many of whom have children of their own.
