The public is invited to visit the park and participate in its fundraising events on Saturday, Sept. 1
Members of the public are invited to visit the campground and join Jellystone Park campers in a variety of relay games, a bubble party for kids, a silent auction, and a 50-50 raffle in which half of the proceeds will be awarded to the person who purchases the winning ticket.Other raffles will also be held for prizes ranging from Boston sports memorabilia such as signed Johnny Bench baseball cards to tickets to the September 15 football game between Syracuse University and Florida State University. A separate raffle will also be held for a two-night stay at a Holiday Inn.
All proceeds will be donated to the Saratoga Mollie Wilmot Radiation Oncology Center.
“This will be a wonderful opportunity for people who haven’t been to our Jellystone Park location to visit our campground oand raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment,” said Gina Leonard, co-owner of the 170-site campground, which includes RV and tent sites as well as rental cabins.
The Adirondacks Jellystone Park location was voted the “Best Campground in the Adirondacks” in the May/June issue of Adirondack Life. Jellystone Park offers a full lineup of organized activities and fall-themed weekends including a Halloween-themed weekend with campsite decorating, a costume contest, trick-or-treating, and a Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.
In addition to organized activities, the Adirondacks Jellystone Park features two heated pools, beach volleyball courts, kayaking and tubing along the Schroon River, an 18-hole miniature golf course, a mining sluice, a jumping pillow, and a train.
